Veterans Day is a time for remembrance, a reminder of the price so many men and women have paid for our precious freedom. It is also a time to admire the bravery and dedication of those who have served and those who continue to serve our country, and to be grateful for their selfless contributions.

This week we salute our client, Scott Waltman. Scott was drafted in 1970 and was trained to be a radioman as part of the Signal Corp. He was assigned to Ft. Sam Houston, Headquarters Co. 5th US Army. During his service, he was promoted 4 times and in 1972 was nominated and awarded the honor of being the Outstanding Soldier, 5th US Army during Armed Forces month. He received his discharge in August, 1972 at the rank of Sergeant.

As we celebrate, let us remember and honor those who have given their lives so that we might be free to celebrate on days like these. Let us also look around us, count our many blessings and take the time to appreciate those we have with us now.

All my best to you and yours now and throughout the year.
